How we compare trades
Redraft uses our published remaining-season projections and the same positional replacement pricing as league trades. This preset uses 12 teams, 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE and 1 FLEX. Trade value is remaining points above estimated positional replacement, floored at zero. The rankings table uses a last-starter baseline, so its displayed surplus can differ.
We show each package’s raw player value, consolidation adjustment and adjusted value. A single player keeps their full value; additional players add progressively less, so a collection of depth players needs more raw value to match a stronger player. This applies to both sides, including trades with the same number of players.
With the top player set to 100, a 100-value player compares with about 77.2 for two 50s. A 30-value player compares with about 30.7 for a 20 and a 15. The required premium grows smoothly with quality. Individual player and pick values stay unchanged in one-for-one trades.
We normalize each value by the highest player value on the complete format board and apply u(x) = x^1.15 + 0.75 × x^3. We add those scores, then invert the same function to return to the original value scale. Suggestions recompute this entire comparison. These coefficients are our pricing policy, not a fitted market premium.
A gap under 5% of the larger adjusted package is labeled similar value. Your scoring format sets the individual player values; team fit, roster costs and manager preferences belong in a league-specific comparison.
The searchable pool includes the published board and players with unavailable projections. Sourced return estimates exclude games before the projected return, with the estimate shown next to the player. A player without a supported estimate has no price, never an assumed zero.
